Classroom Rules

The basic rule to remember in this class is RESPECT. If you are being disrespectful of another person, his/her property or time, then you are breaking a classroom rule.

I expect my students to be courteous and kind to each other. I expect everyone to cooperate and participate in class. I also expect every student to show their respect for each other and the school in their speech and actions. I do not expect to remind students that playground behavior in the classroom is inappropriate or that defacing another’s personal property is disrespectful.

ALL school policies are enforced in this classroom.

Homework and Make-Up

The basic rule to remember about homework is RESPONSIBILITY. YOU are responsible for making sure you have your assignments. When you are in class, YOU are responsible for making sure you know and understand the assignment. When you are absent, YOU are responsible for getting the information you missed. Ask someone or check the board. Make up missing work as quickly as you can. You will be responsible for information on tests whether you have made up the missing assignment or not.

Grades

I use a standard grading scale (90’s - A, 80’s - B, 70’s - C, 60’s - D, under 60 - F). Not every assignment receives an individual grade.
