Getting Acquainted With the Text
Your textbook is going to be an important tool this year, but it is nearly useless if you do not know how to use it to help you. The answers to all of the following questions can be found in your textbook.... if you know where to look. Three major sections of the text will help you find information quickly: the Table of Contents, the Resource Center, and the Indexes.
The Table of Contents lists items in the order they appear in the text. Each unit is called a Collection.
